I’ve updates the GravatarGet page. I’ll be explaining the source code and releasing a major portion of the code. There’s already been over 5,000 downloads and the number is growing everyday. There are reports of bugs and what not, I will address them here.

Default Icon Struct:
I did this so we wouldn’t have to remember the names of the 3 fallback icon sets Gravatar offers.

Rating Struct:
Sure, there are only 4 ratings(G, PG, R, X) but maybe someone don’t know that. So I created a struct for this as well.

Some people are having trouble returning an image into memory. I recommend using MemoryStream for this. You can also attach the Gravatar to a listbox, combobox,textbox and almost any other control applicable.

For Firefox:

First go to http://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/59/
Click Install Now to install addon.
Restart FF. Tool–>User Agent Switcher–>Options–>Options
Click User Agents–>Add

Type this:

+ Description: MEGAUPLOAD
+ User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; Alexa Toolbar)

Click OK twice to finish adding User Agent.
From now, before downloading any file from MegaUpload, just go Tools–>User Agent Switcher–>MEGAUPLOAD.

For Internet Explorer, Maxthon, Anvant Browser:

Start–>Run–>Regedit–>OK

In Registry Editor window:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mcft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent\Post Platform]

Right click Post Platform–>New–>String Value–> Type “Alexa Toolbar”
Restart PC. Done!

A few of my sites where down for about 11 hours yesterday. This was due to switching servers. The last 3 applications I’ve released has features of storing users favorites, lists and other data to a MySQL DB.  The DB was reaching in size of over 2gb and was slowing things down elsewhere. Now we are running a dedicated MySQL server that will not effect my other sites. 

XtremeRcon:
XtremeRcon was put on the back-burner for a long time. I’ve recently begin development on the software again. I plan on a new beta in the next.

uStreamer:
Tied up with errors dealing with the very poorly written API from uStream.tv I plan on releasing beta 2 directly after beta 1 of XtremeRcon. 

Shyster:
Shyster was an anti-cheat application I was working on for BHD(Blackhawk Down). I stopped playing BHD and stopped working on the project. I’ve started work on this project again.

For the last 3 years I’ve been working on a laptop recovery application/website. The idea is that upon start-up the service reports information to a website. This information includes but not limited to, IP, MAC, Location, recorded keystrokes, ftp capability, remote desktop and more. Why? If your laptop is stolen simply go to a different computer, run the software, connect to your laptop and retrieve needed files. You can even delete files, lock the system down or just watch your thief in action if you have a built in web-cam. 

I want this service to be free or very cheap. Problem is it takes money to push out an app like this. Hosting resources are outrageously high these days. Maybe I’ll come across a nice sponsor willing to pitch in the needed $5,000 to get this rolling in the right direction.

I’ve recieved tons of emails wanting to know when an update to uStreamer will be available. Soon! I’ve been working personal things the last 2 weeks but I did not forget about uStreamer! The next version to come will support custom skins, Twitter integration(and maybe Ping.FM), Radio Mode and a few other nice features. So stay tuned and check back around this time next week.

Today I downloaded the beta for Windows 7. I found a security flaw with the windows website while doing so.  If you’re using Chrome or Safari you can get unlimited Windows 7 beta keys.
