Some people wonder what my workspace look like.
Here lately I’ve been running Ubuntu. Why? I want to start porting my Windows software and projects over to Linux. And Mac for that matter. How? MONO. Mono allows you develope software capable of running on not only Linux and Windows, but also for Mac! It’s awesome. Granted, not everyone uses or even knows what MONO is. So if you’re one of those people then I suggest Google! lol.
I also love the fact I can customize EVERYTHING that I want to. Login, looks, feel, features, etc. I can recode any part of the kernel or desktop that I want. That makes it 100% mine! And that I love!
Other thing Ubuntu I just use plain ole Vista and Visual Studio 2008. I also have Windows 7 installed with Visual Studio 2010 installed. VS-2010 is awesome. EXCEPT it doesn’t support the flash control at ALL!
I have been very busy working and have neglected some of my projects. I will be working on them though. I REALLY want to get uStreamer out of beta stage fast.

I’m around. I’ve been very busy with a lot of things. I have been working on cSense, uStreamer, KewlBeans and a few other projects. Real life has taken priority the last couple of weeks and will continue to do so for a while. Maybe later tonight I will post a small tutorial on Mono and Ubuntu.

Did you guys know that you can go to your local field office with emails, chats, websites; etc? Why? To have them tracked to the source. Maybe you’ve been getting threatening, bullying or disrespectful emails. This is a CRIME now. Ever since that little girl in Saint Louis killed herself over MySpace, it is now a FELONY to do this! This is not a matter to be taking lightly. Bullying can lead to depression, suicide, altered behavior, paranoia, poor grades and can ruin families/friends lives!
If you have ANY emails, chats or IM’s like this I urge you to report it to your local field office or county office. Portraying to be someone else to bully is not only a felony for cyber bullying, it’s also a felony for cyber terrorism, wire fraud and identity theft.
Check back later for a more detailed report.

I’ve grown tired of the old theme I’ve been using. So I’ve decided to upgrade a little. Sure, I’ll probably get tired of this design sooner or later too. I’m focusing on changing the content path of the site to more of a social site. I think I’ll use a simple sub-domain for my blog(this). Who knows, anyway, enjoy the new look.

“Hotlinking” (also called “hot linking”, “leeching”, and “bandwidth theft”) is a term referring to when a web page of one website owner is direct linking to the images or other multimedia files on the web host of another website owner (usually without permission, thus stealing bandwidth). This not only causes the other person to pay for the bandwidth of the hotlinked file, but often is intellectual property theft.
So, for those that are linking to my server, (/thadrew/) you should know that is against the law to link to someone elses server/images/videos or any other content without permission from the content owner. And guess what! YOU DONT HAVE PERMISSION!

I finally got a new video card. It’s been long overdue. I got the GeForce 9800 GX2! Only problem I have had is with my mobo. I’ve got the new Asus quad core mobo coming. That should go well with the 6gb of Kingston HyperX DD3 RAM that I got. All in all I’ve only spent $0.00 on this upgrade. That’s right. $0.00! Thanks to sponsors I haven’t had to pay a penny. I still want to upgrade my SATA HD”s to 2 500GB and I want a new case. I’m thinking about the new Sunbeam Silent Storm. Who knows!
I’m still running XP for now. I just got a new copy of Vista Ultimate to play with. Once I switch to Vista I will be able to rewrite some modules for uStreamer to take use of the Vista WPF platform. Nothing major, just to make it look more presentable. I’m still working on releasing the full version very soon. I have a lot of things to take care of first but I have not forgotten about uStreamer.
You’ll notice that www.semogeeks.com is kind of down. LoL! I changed hosting providers and haven’t got the chance to upload the site. I’ve switched 3 of my 5 domains over and I am hosting 2 domains for my buddy David. Anyway, that’s what’s going on around here.

For the last 3 years I’ve been working on a laptop recovery application/website. The idea is that upon start-up the service reports information to a website. This information includes but not limited to, IP, MAC, Location, recorded keystrokes, ftp capability, remote desktop and more. Why? If your laptop is stolen simply go to a different computer, run the software, connect to your laptop and retrieve needed files. You can even delete files, lock the system down or just watch your thief in action if you have a built in web-cam.
I want this service to be free or very cheap. Problem is it takes money to push out an app like this. Hosting resources are outrageously high these days. Maybe I’ll come across a nice sponsor willing to pitch in the needed $5,000 to get this rolling in the right direction.

Today Lisa finally got her divorce. It only cost $195. And thanks to Bobbi, her mother, the divorce was done and over with in less then 3 weeks. Now that that’s over me and Lisa have decided to get married. That’s right.
I used to have a best friend that I thought would be my best man, but he recently has become my worst enemy. So I’ve got my brother, Jon, as my best man. And Lisa has Candice, Ashley and Vickie as her bridesmaids. The wedding will take place in Texas at my relatives ranch. So gotta say thanks to Amy & Jeff, my cousins down there. I’m trying to get them to fly up here and take us all down on their plane.
So, I guess I’ve found something more important then computers, friends and partying. They only thing I can thank my ole pal for is hooking me up with Lisa. So thanks, Andrew!
